Situated midway between Cleveland and Toledo, Huron County benefits from quick access to highways, airports, shipping ports and rail transportation.   Ohio is within 620 miles of 60 percent (two-thirds of the nation’s purchasing power) of the U.S. and Canadian population, and is within a one-day drive of 70 percent of North America’s manufacturing capacity.  The state’s infrastructure is ranked as one of the best in the nation and includes more railroad track per square mile than any other state and more interstate mileage than any neighboring state.  We also have 660 miles of frontage on the Ohio River and 320 miles of Lake Erie shoreline. Tonnage shipped on the Ohio River exceeds that which passes through the Panama Canal.
